Dubai's station links to the Red Line metro via a covered pedestrian bridge of roughly 400 metres to Jumeirah Golf Estates station: passengers step off the train and continue into the rest of the city without needing a car. Al Dhaid station in Sharjah is also operational from today, bringing a third emirate onto the network.
The fleet counts 13 trains, each carrying up to 400 passengers across three classes (Economy, Family, First) at speeds up to 200 km/h. The rest of the network rolls out in stages: Madinat Zayed and Liwa on November 30, the Al Dhafra region extension (Al Sila, Al Dhannah, Al Mirfa) on December 30, through to completion in Sharjah in March 2027.
