Abu Dhabi lines up 297 events in H2 2026: what it means for investors

Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and ADNEC Centre Al Ain, both run by ADNEC Group (a Modon company), will together host 297 events in the second half of 2026, the group's busiest season on record according to the official announcement. The calendar spans energy, artificial intelligence, defence, healthcare and food security, with 21% of exhibitions making their Middle East debut and four international associations gathering in the region for the first time.

What's on the calendar

Among the headline events, ADIPEC in November remains the reference event for the global energy sector: its 2025 edition drew more than 205,000 attendees from 172 countries and 2,250 exhibiting companies. It is followed by the World Congress of Military Medicine, the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show and, closing the year, the UN Water Conference 2026.

In Al Ain, the venue confirms its more community-focused role: cultural exhibitions, indoor sporting events, academic ceremonies and entertainment programming aimed at the local audience.

Why it matters for property investors

In 2025, events hosted by ADNEC Group delivered a record AED 9.2 billion in economic impact (+8% year on year), 2.17 million hotel room nights and supported more than 70,000 jobs, according to the group's official figures. Those numbers translate directly into hospitality demand, hotels but also short-term rentals in neighbourhoods close to the venue and the city centre.

Abu Dhabi's hotel occupancy stood at 66.8% in the first half of 2026, a level partly sustained by the corporate and conference events calendar. With ADIPEC alone drawing more than 200,000 international attendees, the autumn season traditionally remains the period of highest pressure on hotels and short-term rentals in the capital.
